Brotox: Guys, It Can Help You Look More Refreshed and Well-Rested

How Much is Men’s Botox?

Men are Getting Botox More Than Ever Before

Some guys scoff at the idea of getting Brotox injections (Botox for men) thinking it will rob them of their masculinity and facial expression. An age old double standard that wrinkles make a man look distinguished (more handsome even) may be keeping some men from looking their best.

Fortunately, this outdated way of thinking is slowly starting to decline as men of all ages are discovering and embracing Botox’ anti-aging benefits. Interestingly, it’s no longer just about wanting to look more youthful in the work place. The desire to look more attractive for social media (Instagram and Facebook) can be attributed to a spike in Brotox popularity. Currently in North America men comprise approximately 20% of Botox clients.

What exactly is Botox?

Also called Botulinum toxin, Botox is a highly effective medication that’s derived from natural sources. It contains tiny amounts of a highly purified protein refined from the bacterium, Clostridium botulinum. It’s extremely safe and helps to smooth out moderate to severe crow’s feet and frown lines by targeting the muscle activity responsible for frowning and squinting.

“Everyone Will Notice, But No One Will Know”

When done right Botox can look extremely natural and hardly detectable. Not only does it relax lines and wrinkles but it has the additional benefit of elevating the brows. When combined with Botox around the eyes, the “opening up” effect extends to the entire periorbital area. This can lessen a tired or angry appearance and help a masculine face look more well-rested.

How Much is Men’s Botox?

Dosing for a guy’s Botox treatment is typically 25-50% higher than for women because men’s muscles are that much stronger. A typical amount in the forehead is anywhere from 35-50 units and for the crow’s feet it can be 15 units per eye or more. If it’s your first time you can expect to spend anywhere from $350-$600. Choosing an experienced Botox injector is the key to getting subtle, natural results.
