How to Get a Slimmer Face In Four Weeks with Botox

Feminine Beauty is Synonymous with a Delicate Jawline
Most cultures define the ideal in feminine beauty as having soft facial features and a heart-shaped face. An overly square face, however, is considered masculine and therefore not desirable. A square jawline can sometimes be genetic. For example, those of Asian descent are predisposed to a wider mandible.

In some individuals the cause of a wider jawline is Masseteric Muscle Hypertrophy or MSH. It can be due to personal habits such as asymmetric chewing, diet (chewing, fibrous vegetables, meats, nuts), frequent gum chewing and/or clenching or grinding teeth. Whatever the reason, Botox injections in the masseters offers a non-invasive treatment for both the aesthetic and functional effects of MSH. Read on to learn how to get a slimmer face in only four weeks.

Botox Can Reduce Width of the Face and Jawline
Treatment consists of injecting Botox directly into several points in the mandibular region. Both the superficial and deep muscle layers are treated. Your physician will ask you to clench your jaw to determine the amount of Botox needed by gauging the strength of your muscles. The typical dose is 30-50 Botox units per side and sometimes a touch up may be required.

Results: Slimmer Jawline in Four to Six Weeks
Botox weakens the injected muscle over time and this produces a slimmer jawline. Unlike regular Botox of the upper face where results can be evident in approximately five to seven days following treatment, the effects of masseter injections can take up to four to six weeks.
